Branksome Park Luxury Real Estate Profile (BH13)

Branksome Park is predominately large detached houses on generous plots. There are building covenants that still exist from 1870 restricting new properties to having a minimum of three quarters of an acre of land. The original plots were laid out by brothers George and Henry Bury in the late 19th century and Henry Bury constructed the Church of All Saints in Western Road in 1877 as a focal point for the park.

Today there is a lovely mixture of mature houses and new cutting edge architecture with average house prices firmly in the millions. The local Poole planning authority still does regular battle with developers to try and retain the plot sizes and character of the park.

The whole 350 acres of Branksome Park is a conservation area with just under 300 luxury houses and it is the place to live if you are looking for a property for sale with a large square footage, seclusion and a reasonable size garden. Canford Cliffs Road is the dividing line between Branksome Park (to the east) and Lower Parkstone (to the west).

Some of the most sought after roads include Western Avenue, Mornish Road and Bury Road. Western Avenue lies just half a mile from our office and we use this almost on a daily basis as a shortcut to Bournemouth and we have seen huge changes over the last decade. Western Avenue is home to the famous 'Thunderbird' house with it's distinctive curved design and blue / green copper roof; as well as a number of impressive new mansions. It was also recently listed as one of the top 50 most expensive streets in the country by Lloyds Bank. Within the same quite small area Mornish Road and Bury Road flank either side.

Here you have the whole package; luxury properties, seclusion, a woodland environment and a fantastic beach and all within 2 miles of Bournemouth town centre. Many of the finest properties in Branksome Park are of course not openly marketed and are for sale on a confidential basis.

In the centre of the park there is a wooded valley called Branksome Chine which runs down to the beach with a pleasant stream and footpath. This was once a smugglers track. To the west and south lies Canford Cliffs village and Bournemouth to the east.

If you considering buying a luxury property in Branksome Park in excess of 1m please do contact us in confidence, we look forward to hearing from you. Likewise, if you are the vendor of a luxury property for sale in Branksome Park valued in excess of 1 million and you wish to discreetly market it, please also feel free to contact us in confidence.
