Luxury Real Estate Profile
Branksome Park is predominately large detached
houses on generous plots. There are building covenants
that still exist from 1870 restricting new properties to
having a minimum of three quarters of an acre of
land. The original plots were laid out by brothers
George and Henry Bury in the late 19th century and
Henry Bury constructed the Church of All Saints in
Western Road in 1877 as a focal point for the park.
Today there is a lovely mixture of mature houses and
new cutting edge architecture with average house
prices firmly in the millions. The local Poole
planning authority still does regular battle with
developers to try and retain the plot sizes and
character of the park.
The whole 350 acres of Branksome Park
is a conservation area with just under 300 luxury
houses and it is the
place to live if you are looking for a property for
sale with a large square
footage, seclusion and a reasonable size garden.
Canford Cliffs Road is the dividing line between
Branksome Park (to the east) and
Lower Parkstone (to the west).
